AKSU, China, Dec. 2, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- On November 30, the Alar 2 million kilowatt photovoltaic base project (Phase I) of the First Division of the Xinjiang Corps successfully connected 1 million kilowatts to the grid to generate electricity, marking the official operation of the largest photovoltaic project of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. In addition to environmental protection benefits, the project also actively controls sandy, degraded and saline grasslands, and promotes the coordinated development of the photovoltaic power generation industry and the ecological restoration of degraded grasslands. The shading effect of photovoltaic panels has effectively improved the growth environment of desert plants, reduced dust, and played a good role in restoring the natural ecology of desertified areas in Xinjiang.
