Zero Tolerance for Child Exploitation: RedDoorz Partners with ECPAT & Joins The Code to Launch Child Safety Initiative in Indonesia

JAKARTA, Indonesia, Sept. 17, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- RedDoorz, Southeast Asia's largest multi-brand hospitality and accommodation platform, announced a partnership with ECPAT, a global network dedicated to ending the sexual exploitation and abuse of children, to reinforce child protection and guest safety across its property network. The collaboration enhances RedDoorz's safety measures by implementing a safeguarding framework across all properties.

Operating more than 4,000 properties under its multi-brand portfolio, including RedDoorz, SANS, Urbanview, Sunerra, and The Lavana, the platform maintains a zero-tolerance policy for child sexual exploitation, human trafficking, and prostitution within its partner network. This initiative aligns with the company's 'Safe Stay for All Guests' vision, establishing guest safety and child protection as a shared responsibility among corporate, property owners, and hotel staff.

To operationalize this commitment, RedDoorz is introducing the SHIELD (Safeguarding Hospitality through Integrity, Ethics, and Lasting Diligence) Program across its ecosystem. Under SHIELD, RedDoorz is strengthening five commitments across its property network: Guest Identity & Data Protection, ensuring adult guest identities are verified at check-in and personal information is handled responsibly; Child Protection, strengthening verification and safeguarding procedures to help prevent child sexual exploitation; Safety Support, providing a centralized mechanism for reporting safety and safeguarding concerns and accessing appropriate support; Responsible Safety Monitoring, responsible use of CCTV; and Property Safety Standards, maintaining clear requirements for fire safety, structural and facility safety, hygiene, and emergency preparedness, supported by training, monitoring, and audits.

RedDoorz will join The Code of Conduct for the Protection of Children from Sexual Exploitation in Travel and Tourism (The Code). Through this, RedDoorz will strengthen formal child-protection procedures, conducting mandatory staff training, extending safeguarding standards across its supply chain, raising awareness among travelers, collaborating with key stakeholders, and publishing progress reports.

RedDoorz's safeguarding includes property onboarding standards, requiring partner properties to hold valid licensing, including a Business Registration Number. Where applicable, properties may observe Syariah hospitality standards to respect local community norms.

To support the implementation of these safeguards, RedDoorz is also working with ECPAT and the Indonesian National Police to provide child-protection training for property owners and staff, covering risk identification, preventive measures, and appropriate reporting and escalation procedures.

RedDoorz has established reporting mechanisms, including a public Help Centre where guests, witnesses, and locals can report incidents, alongside 24/7 support for urgent safety and welfare concerns. Property owners and staff will also receive an Emergency Response Pocket Book covering child safety, emergency handling, fire incidents, and police coordination. Through these proactive measures, RedDoorz aims to set a new benchmark for ethical, safe, and responsible hospitality.
