13th Silk Road International Film Festival Concludes in Xi'an with Golden Silk Road Awards Announced

On the evening of September 23, the Closing Ceremony and Awards Gala of the 13th Silk Road International Film Festival was held in Xi'an. The ten Golden Silk Road Awards were announced. Black Night, Black Gold won the Best Feature Film Award. Wang Ju and Ivan Savov were named Best Actress and Best Actor respectively. Xie Fei, a renowned director and film educator, received the Lifetime Achievement Award in Film Art.

A total of 2,130 films from 139 countries and regions were submitted for this year's festival, among which 23 made it to the final round of evaluation. The festival hosted a series of events focusing on international co-production, industrial cooperation, micro-dramas and virtual reality films. It signed international co-production projects including The Wandering Accordion, and reached strategic cooperation with institutions such as the Cairo International Film Festival.

Public benefit screenings were available through four channels: cinemas, online platforms, universities and outdoor venues. More than 400 films were screened in total. Over 80 special 9.9-yuan public welfare screenings were arranged, and 363 free public screenings took place at 111 squares across the province, benefiting over 100,000 people. Box office revenue rose by 6.3% year-on-year. The eight-day "Film +" ticket-driven economy linked more than 600 consumption scenarios across the city, with customer flow at partner merchants increasing by 17.8% year-on-year.

At the closing ceremony, the festival flag was passed from Xi'an to Fuzhou, kicking off a new chapter for the next edition of this cinematic event.
