OPIM and Counterpoint Re-Launch Asian Macro Fund with global economy at a critical juncture
HONG KONG, July 14, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- OP Investment Management Ltd. ("OPIM"), Asia's leading fund platform, is partnering with Geoffrey Barker to launch an offshore Cayman-domiciled fund, the Counterpoint Asian Macro Master Fund ("Fund"). The Fund is designed to capitalize on macroeconomic dislocations across Asia through a disciplined, data-driven investment approach.
The Fund is led by Geoffrey Barker, a seasoned macro investor with over three decades of experience in global markets. Geoffrey was previously Chief Economist for Asia-Pacific at HSBC, where he led regional research and macroeconomic strategy. The Counterpoint Team has been together for many years and includes Nick Bibby as Macro Strategist, Neil Scrase as Head of Business Development and Maurien Yau as Financial Controller.
