Since she was young, Dr Au has embraced a healthy lifestyle. She pored over books on health and fitness, and was one of those kids who requested for more vegetables.

It was natural for her to pursue a career in medicine, hoping to make a difference in improving people's health.

However, along with the stresses of the job came weight gain, skin troubles, fatigue, and dependence on caffeine. It was then that she delved deep into applying functional and holistic medicine principles, which contributed to healing physically and mentally. Inspired by how a holistic approach to healthcare strengthens vitality, she established Assure Family Clinic  (AFC) in September 2023 to provide compassionate and comprehensive care to make a lasting difference to people's health and wellness.

About Dr Charis Au, Assure Family Clinic's Medical Director  

Dr Au has 10 years of clinical experience and is well-positioned to help you resolve the many physical and mental issues that can arise throughout your life.

After graduating from the prestigious University of Melbourne in 2013, Dr Au returned to Singapore where she worked in several public hospitals for 5 years. She gained experience in various hospital rotations practising General Medicine, Family Medicine, Psychiatry, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and Rehabilitation Medicine. She found her passion in general practice, which she has been practising for the past 5 years. She has also completed further training in Family Medicine and Mental Health at the National University of Singapore.

Dr Au advocates lifestyle interventions, such as nutrition, exercise and stress management, to promote optimal wellbeing. She keeps herself up to date with medical research on effective treatment protocols. To date, she has helped numerous patients regain their energy and health.
