Encouraging Public Awareness of Personal and Others' Health with 105 Free 3D Mammograms for Underprivileged Women

HONG KONG, April 8, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Chiron Medical Group is proudly launching the "1:1 Breast Health Empowerment Charity Campaign" to provide 105 free 3D mammograms and medical consultation services to underprivileged women. We invite the public to join us in caring for their own health as well as that of others. From April 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025, for every woman who undergoes a 3D mammogram or a health check at FemWell with a total cost of HKD 3,000 (after discounts), Chiron Medical will sponsor one underprivileged woman to receive free breast cancer screening. This initiative, in collaboration with the Hong Kong Christian Young Women's Association (Hereinafter referred to as"YWCA"), will help arrange for eligible women to access these services, ensuring timely medical attention for more women.

Breast cancer is the leading cancer among women in Hong Kong, with statistics^[1] indicating that 1 in 12 women will be diagnosed in their lifetime. However, studies^[2] show that women with lower income and education levels are less likely to undergo regular breast cancer screenings. The medical community agrees that the "international gold standard" for breast screening is mammography. Early detection through imaging before tumors develop can help avoid complex treatments. Therefore, before providing free breast cancer screenings to underprivileged women, Chiron Medical will also host educational seminars to enhance their awareness and willingness to undergo examinations.

This charity campaign is managed by FemWell, a female brand under Chiron Medical Group, which will provide the 3D mammogram services and medical consultations. Beneficiary women can receive services at FemWell, located on the 2nd floor of the Podium Plaza, 5 Hanoi Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon. This women's health centre, established last year, features a calming interior design, private changing rooms, a women-only waiting area, examination rooms, and imaging diagnostic rooms, ensuring a high level of privacy and a comfortable experience throughout the examination or consultation process.
