Gavin Chia, CEO at Moomoo Singapore, announced at MooFest that the moomoo app has surpassed 1.5 million users, which represents 1 in 2 Singapore residents aged 20 to 70^[1]. This milestone marks a 50% increase in user growth within just 15 months, following the 1 million user milestone in April 2024. The surge in users underscores Moomoo's rising influence in shaping Singapore's retail investing landscape, driven by a blend of intuitive technology, accessible financial education and a thriving in-app community.

7 in 10 Moomoo Singapore's Clients were Profitable in 1H2025

In his keynote address, Chia shared that nearly 7 in 10 Moomoo Singapore's clients were profitable over the past 12 months —  notwithstanding the market volatility in the first half of 2025. On a whole-of-portfolio basis, equities remain the most popular instrument for investors, forming nearly 60% of a typical winning portfolio. Wealth management products also saw significant allocation at 26%.

"The secret to their success was simple — staying invested amid volatility, not sitting on the sidelines. When sentiment around the US market shifted, many investors took a proactive approach: trimming US allocations from 75% to 67%, increasing their exposure to Hong Kong from 9% to 12%, and maintaining a stable position of around 20% in Singapore," Chia said.

"Rather than exiting the market, they took full advantage of it. The data is clear: informed, agile investors who stay the course — while adapting as conditions evolve — continue to find opportunities, even in challenging environments," he added.
