Mirae Asset Celebrates First Eligible ETF for ETF Connect Scheme - Global X Hang Seng Tech ETF (2837) as a Milestone Achievement

HONG KONG, Oct. 27, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- Mirae Asset Global Investments (Hong Kong) Limited (the "Company" or "Mirae Asset") is pleased to announce that, Global X Hang Seng Tech ETF (2837), the first eligible ETF under the Company will participate in the ETF Connect Scheme (the "Scheme") on November 6, 2023. This marks a significant milestone as the Company will be the first Korean asset manager to tap into the mainland China market through the Scheme thus reinforcing its global presence and its commitment to the mainland China market.

The Scheme announced by the China Securities Regulatory Commission and the Securities and Futures Commission on May 27, 2022, serves to further deepen the interaction and integration of the two capital markets of mainland China and Hong Kong, offer more diverse investor choices and promote liquidity as well as sustainable development in both of the ETF markets.

The ETF tracks the Hang Seng TECH index which represents the 30 largest technology companies listed in Hong Kong that have high business exposure to technology themes and pass the index's screening criteria.
