- The new Global X AI Infrastructure ETF (3401) brings Mirae Asset's AI-themed lineup to six products, offering both active and passive strategies for comprehensive investment solutions.

HONG KONG, Feb. 10, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Mirae Asset Global Investments (Hong Kong) Limited, (the "Firm" or "Mirae Asset") today announced the launch of its new Global X AI Infrastructure ETF (3401). The fund, which begins trading on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange ("HKEX") today, offers investors targeted exposure to companies driving the development of AI infrastructure, providing a unique opportunity to capitalize on the sector's growth potential.

The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence is driving the industry into a new era, with growing emphasis on the infrastructure needed to support its expansion. Key areas include data centres and the energy systems needed to power them—critical components forming the backbone of AI innovation. According to ABI Research, the number of public data centres globally is projected to surpass 6,000 by the end of 2025 and exceed 8,000 by 2030.^[1] Additionally, the U.S. government recently announced the Stargate Project, a USD500 billion initiative aimed at accelerating AI infrastructure development in the United States. As a result, AI infrastructure remains a key growth story within the broader AI industry.

AI infrastructure relies on multiple interconnected systems, including energy supply, thermal management, and network operations.
