2011 Beauty Pro Awards(TM) Winner Announced Louis Licari and top industry experts name makeup artist Tish Perkins Beauty's newest rising star
NEW YORK, June 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- (http://www.myprgenie.com) -- The results are in for GoPretty.com's First Annual Beauty Pro Awards, sponsored by Schedulicity. The Grand Prize winner is Tish Perkins, a makeup artist based in Richmond, Virginia who specializes in Indian Bridal makeup.
The contest called for all hair, makeup and nail artists who thought they had what it took to win in this first annual search for the best in beauty. Tish Perkins will receive $5,000 in cash and prizes, a trip to New York City, and the opportunity to spend the morning behind-the-scenes on the set of The Today Show's "The Plaza Ambush Makeover" with hair styling legend Louis Licari. The Nation's #1 Ranked Bridal Beauty Agency, Hair Comes The Bride, has also added a prize to the package.
GoPretty.com, the online resource and community known by industry experts and beauty mortals alike for being the true "beauty expert expert", and the place online that bridges the gap between beauty professionals and the clients looking for them, designed the competition to help beauty pros and rising stars in the industry gain exposure.
"I intend to use this platform to help me live out my dream," says Tish. "I live for the day I can open my own studio or be commissioned to work in some of the major cities and work alongside world renown pros."
The creation of Go Pretty's Annual Beauty Pro Awards is the natural next step for GoPretty.com and founder, Tracy Saunders who, through her work hiring and managing elite beauty professionals in New York City, noticed there was no shortage of talent. What was lacking, however, were opportunities for these undiscovered stars to gain exposure and develop their brand. The Awards are one of the first ways GoPretty.com works to publicly recognize the best and brightest new beauty pros and celebrate what they offer to not only to the industry but their clients and the world in general.
