2015'MIDEM Chinese Delegation Concert Kicks off in Beijing

BEIJING, April 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- On April 15, the 2015'MIDEM Chinese Delegation Concert working team held a special kick-off ceremony for the four bands which will play at the concert of 1MORE CHINA NIGHT to be held on June 6 in Cannes, France, and their entourage. The kick-off ceremony was attended by more than one hundred professionals and stars. They have made the ceremony a carnival of the music industry.

Four bands were selected to give performance at 2015'MIDEM "1 MORE CHINA NIGHT". They were: Carsick Cars, a promising young indie rock-and-roll band; Wang Xiaotian, an urban folk song rookie who has been invited to the US and Europe for tour, together with his band; a modern jazz band formed by Guo Gan, a famous Erhu performer and three French jazz musicians; and "Ruhan&Tony", a band comprising Chinese and American young singers who deliver a mixed classical and popular style.

Wang Jingjing, Deputy Secretary General of China Audio-Video and Digital Publishing Association and Chairman of China Music Industry Promotion Committee, said: "By virtue of MIDEM, an influential international platform, we are presenting high-quality original music with both Chinese essense and zeitgeist to foreign friends. The concert was attended by Zhang Shouwang, lead singer of Carsick Cars, Wang Xiaotian and guest band Tulegur. The combination of different performance styles brought the concert to climax.
