7th Women Leadership Conference Presented for the First Time in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 31, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Iranian American Women Foundation (IAWF) is proud to present its 7th Women Leadership Conference 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Sunday, November 2, 2014 for the first time in the Los Angeles area at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills.  

The conference will feature some of the most influential and successful Iranian American women across various industries and fields providing key insights into leadership, success, mastering the work-life balance, finding the courage to follow one's dreams, and the importance of legacy.

This year's keynote speakers are Parisa Khosravi, senior vice president for CNN Worldwide, in charge of Global Relations, and Anousheh Ansari, first female private space explorer and first space ambassador. With more than 20 years of experience at CNN, Khosravi currently oversees CNN's international and domestic newsgathering operations. Ansari is co-founder and chairwoman of Prodea Systems.

The day's sessions, presented by more than 35 panelists and moderators from diverse backgrounds, will explore the following subjects:

• Leading a Successful Career

The list of distinguished and accomplished women authors, doctors, engineers, philanthropists, educators and directors is endless. Among those presenting during the conference is President Barack Obama's personal aide at the House White. A young, vibrant Iranian American, Ferial Govashiri climbed the latter to get to the position she holds today at the nation's highest office. Goli Ameri, former US Assistant Secretary of State for Educational and Cultural Affairs will also participate on one of the sessions.

The all-day conference kicks-off with opening remarks by Guity Javid, founder and President of Hutton Capital. The conference is hosted by Shirin Rajaee, anchor and reporter for ABC KEYT News in Santa Barbara, and will conclude with closing remarks by Mariam Khosravani, founder and president of IAWF.
