A Purr-fect Fit: CeeLo Green And Purrfect The Cat Remix Meow Mix® Cat Food Jingle

CeeLo Green, Grammy® Award-winning recording artist and star of "The Voice," is releasing his most cat-tastic collaboration yet – a remix of the famous Meow Mix® cat food jingle with his Persian kitty, Purrfect the Cat. In true purrfect timing, the remix will drop as the jingle has returned to television after a 16-year hiatus. The remix, featuring the famous "Meow, Meow, Meow, Meow" lyrics, will be available on www.MeowMix.com starting today, and for each download of the song, one pound of Meow Mix® cat food will be donated to Pets Are Wonderful Support, Los Angeles (PAWS/LA) for pets in need.

In honor of their strong bond, the Meow Mix® brand is helping the pair give back to the pet community by pledging to donate one pound of cat food for each download to PAWS/LA, with the goal of donating up to 12,000 pounds of cat food. PAWS/LA is dedicated to preserving the loving bond between people and their companion animals, by providing assistance to low-income seniors and people disabled by a life-threatening illness, in order for them to keep and care for their pets. This donation will feed all of PAWS/LA's cats for one year!

Purrfect's instant popularity even spread to Twitter, reaching more than 50,000 followers to date. If fans of both Purrfect and the Meow Mix jingle still can't get enough after the download of the newest CeeLo tune, the jingle is available as a ringtone as well on www.MeowMix.com.

The Meow Mix survey was conducted by Kelton between February 23rd and March 1st, 2012 using an email invitation and an online survey. Results of any sample are subject to sampling variation. The magnitude of the variation is measurable and is affected by the number of interviews and the level of the percentages expressing the results.  In this particular study, the chances are 95 in 100 that a survey result does not vary, plus or minus, by more than 3 percentage points from the result that would be obtained if interviews had been conducted with all persons in the universe represented by the sample.
