AAHFN Promotes Heart Failure Awareness Week Through Webinar
Medtronic Featured as Official Sponsor
MOUNT LAUREL, N.J., Feb. 5 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The American Association of Heart Failure Nurses (AAHFN) is pleased to promote Heart Failure Awareness Week, to be held February 14-20.
The purpose of Heart Failure Awareness Week is to increase the public's awareness and knowledge of this common and debilitating condition. AAHFN will achieve this goal through the Heart Failure Awareness Week web site (www.aahfn.org/Affairs). In addition to basic information about heart failure for the purpose of patient education, a pre-recorded webinar ("Heart Failure Nurses Answer Patients' Most Frequently Asked Questions") will be accessible on the web site free of charge for the duration of the week.
"We're excited to build upon the momentum from our participation in last year's Heart Failure Awareness Week," said AAHFN Executive Director Heather Petet. "By featuring heart failure nurse responses to patient concerns, AAHFN's webinar will create a bridge between our nurses and their patients."
AAHFN will also recognize Medtronic, Inc. as our official sponsor of Heart Failure Awareness Week on the web site, and as part of the webinar. Heart Failure Awareness Week is observed annually in February, and the final day always coincides with Valentine's Day.
