
ABF Announces the Assignment of Yield Management Responsibilities
FORT SMITH, Ark., April 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ABF Freight System, Inc.®, announces changes in executive responsibilities. Roy Slagle, senior vice president of sales and marketing, assumes the additional responsibility of yield management. Daniel E. Loe has been named vice president of yield management, effective immediately. Currently, Mr. Loe serves as director of marketing and public relations.
"Roy has been with ABF for 34 years and has held a variety of positions, including operations supervisor, operations manager, branch manager, regional training specialist, regional vice president sales, vice president and treasurer, and vice president administration and treasurer prior to being promoted to his current position of senior vice president sales and marketing. This breadth of experience will serve him well in meeting the requirements of his additional duties," noted President and Chief Executive Officer Wes Kemp.
In his new role, Mr. Loe will lead all activity related to yield management, freight bill rating and traffic services. Mr. Loe joined ABF as a pricing analyst in 1997. He was promoted to lead pricing analyst in 1998 and senior pricing analyst in 2000. He has served in his current position since 2004.
