Advanced Systems Concepts, Inc. Releases ActiveBatch® Self-Service Portal to Simplify IT and Business Collaboration

MORRISTOWN, N.J., Oct. 5, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Advanced Systems Concepts, Inc. (ASCI) today announced the availability of the Self-Service Portal for ActiveBatch®, its industry-leading intelligent workload automation solution. The ActiveBatch Self-Service Portal empowers business and help desk teams to perform daily and ad hoc tasks, while simultaneously providing IT with the additional bandwidth needed to focus on mission-critical infrastructure and operational processes.

To improve IT efficiency, ActiveBatch coordinates and consolidates disparate automating and scheduling tools into one solution. However, IT continues to handle an increasing number of requests from business teams looking for more information at faster response times. ActiveBatch Self-Service Portal improves efficiency even further by making it easy for non-IT teams to get the information they need when they need it, without the need for IT's ongoing, day-to-day involvement.

ActiveBatch Self-Service Portal offers a user-friendly, web-based interface for desktop or tablet browsers in which users can execute approved jobs and workflows. Thousands of use cases can easily be implemented by IT, allowing business and help desk users to run, monitor, and research tasks such as generating BI reports, querying data, onboarding new hires, rebooting machines, resetting passwords, and more. Ultimately, business and help desk teams are able to reliably access departmental or individual information while still keeping IT in full control of jobs, privileges, and security.

"The purpose of the ActiveBatch Self-Service Portal is to make it easier for IT and business users to work together so everyone gets their job done more efficiently," says Jim Manias, vice president at ASCI. "Today's announcement is in response to direct requests from IT and business teams looking for an easy to use interface that affords non-IT users the ability to manage processes and access information without IT's ongoing involvement. With our self-service automation capabilities, business users are more productive, and IT can focus on mission-critical operations."
