AhernIT Partners with Wyless and Acquires Progressive Platforms LLC, formerly Wyless Telematics

BOSTON and LAS VEGAS, Sept. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Wyless, the leading Internet of Things ( IoT ) global managed services provider and Ahern Information Technologies (AhernIT), a leading provider of fleet tracking solutions and applications, today announced a new element of their partnership focusing on fresh new value–added products and services that will be offered by Ahern via the acquisition of Progressive Platforms (formerly known as Wyless Telematics) from Wyless.

The Progressive Platforms solution offers cloud-based fleet management and telematics applications available on a global basis in more than 120 countries. Progressive Platforms combines hardware from the industry leader in Telematics devices, CalAmp, with an intuitive and user-friendly cloud-based platform bringing vital fleet information right to customers' fingertips. A customizable tool, PPL provides a powerful suite of applications that can be tailored to each customer's unique needs. 

This is not the first time that AhernIT and Wyless have synced up - AhernIT has been a customer of Wyless' core offering for over a year, using Wyless managed cellular connectivity to govern their vast portfolio of industrial rental equipment. Porthos, Wyless' IoT platform, is a value-add for Ahern, allowing them to manage connectivity from several carriers in one central location. With significant growth predictions on the horizon, Ahern is expected to have over 40,000 connected devices on Wyless' network by the close of 2016.
