Alaska Airlines inaugurates service from San Jose, California to Austin, Texas and Tucson, Arizona

Carrier continues to grow its presence in California, making it the go-to airline for travelers living on the West Coast

SEATTLE, Aug. 28, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Alaska Airlines this week begins daily, nonstop service from San Jose, California to Austin, Texas, and Tucson, Arizona. With these new flights, Alaska serves more destinations from Mineta San Jose International Airport than any other airline by offering nonstop service to 18 destinations with a total of 31 daily departures.

"Alaska Airlines continues to meet the needs of Silicon Valley travelers with new daily, nonstop flights from our San Jose focus city to popular destinations like Austin and Tucson," said Annabel Chang, vice president, Alaska Airlines, Bay Area. These new flights build on previously announced routes that began March 20 and include daily flights from San Jose to Newark, New Jersey; three times daily flights from San Jose to Burbank, Calif.; as well as a four times daily service from San Jose to Los Angeles, which will begin on September 20.
