Aleph Objects Expands Hiring and Manufacturing in Northern Colorado
Company leases new space to accommodate high customer demand
LOVELAND, Colo., Oct. 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Aleph Objects, Inc., makers of LulzBot™ 3D desktop printers, has moved into a larger facility this month in response to high customer demand and projections for growth in 2014. The new headquarters, a 17,000-square-foot building located near U.S. 287 and West 66th Street in Loveland, will allow the company to increase its production of rapid prototyping 3D printers and hire additional staff members by the end of the year.

To get ready for the move, Aleph Objects has been retooling its manufacturing this summer by designing printers with more laser-cut and injection-molded parts. While various parts will still be manufactured through different Colorado vendors, 100 percent of final assembly and quality control will take place in the new facility.
"Our new facility, Aleph Mountain, will allow us to scale from hundreds to thousands of units being produced a year," said Jeff Moe, Aleph Objects President. "With the building sitting on nine acres, we even have room to expand our business and continue to grow product lines on this site."
Previously used as the Eldon James injection molding facility, renovation plans for Aleph Mountain includes an overall building refresh with general clean up, exterior painting, new factory floor layout and the addition of a reception space. An open house is planned for early 2014.
The expansion reflects the company's explosion in sales this year, including 400 percent growth and the addition of global distribution centers in the UK and Canada. In addition, Aleph Objects anticipates hiring approximately 10 to 15 people by the end of the year and up to 40 in 2014.
The company is riding a wave of success from the launch earlier this month of its fifth generation desktop 3D printer, TAZ 2, which has already raised a quarter of a million on the Fundable platform: www.fundable.com/lulzbot-taz. Founded upon the philosophy of Libre Hardware, LulzBot designs, builds and sells 3D desktop printers, parts and plastics for engineers, entrepreneurs, inventors and makers.
