Allwinner's A83T: a Heavyweight Octa-Core for Full HD Tablets

ZHUHAI, China, Sept. 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Allwinner Technology, a leader in mobile application processor design, today proudly announced its brand-new high performance octa-core processor A83T, a heavyweight that is targeted at full high-definition tablets.

Based on TSMC's industry-leading 28nm HPC process, the A83T is designed to be a high performance but extremely power-efficient octa-core processor. For that reason, the A83T packs eight highly energy-efficient Cortex-A7 cores that could run simultaneously at around 2.0GHz, and implements the advanced big.LITTLE architecture to maximize the battery life. Imaginations Technology's outstanding PowerVR GPU is also combined in the A83T to deliver the best balance between graphic processing performance and power consumption.
