OMAHA, Neb., Oct. 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Northern Lights Distributors, LLC (NLD), a broker-dealer specializing in providing comprehensive, adviser-driven solutions for fund distribution services, has appointed Alma Piscitello as Senior Vice President of Strategic Relationships. In her new role, Ms. Piscitello will lead NLD's key accounts team, which develops and manages sales and marketing distribution plans and relationships for more than 100 investment advisers representing over 300 mutual fund strategies.
Ms. Piscitello is based in Hauppauge, N.Y., and will focus on enhancing the client experience across NLD and its sister companies within NorthStar Financial Services Group, LLC. In addition to creating and growing distribution relationships, she specializes in streamlining multi-matrix organizations so their different teams can work more closely to deliver holistic solutions to clients.

Prior to joining NLD, Ms. Piscitello served as Vice President and Director of Partner Development at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, LLC for eight years. During her tenure at Morgan Stanley, Ms. Piscitello oversaw a team of relationship managers responsible for over 350 asset manager relationships with mutual funds, separately managed accounts and exchange-traded funds. Earlier in her career, she was Vice President and Institutional Investment Director in the retail high-net-worth national sales division at Citigroup Asset Management (purchased by Legg Mason, Inc. in 2005), where she worked for nine years.
