American Airlines Launches Mobile Million Sweepstakes for Android to Highlight Its New Android App

FORT WORTH, Texas, March 30, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- American Airlines is launching the Mobile Million Sweepstakes for Android to celebrate its recently launched Android application (this follows American's 2010 Mobile Million Sweepstakes for iPhone). The sweepstakes rewards one grand-prize winner with one million American Airlines AAdvantage® miles. In addition, American will give one Barnes & Noble NOOK Color™ every day for 30 days to 30 lucky winners – all for simply downloading the free app.

To enter the sweepstakes, which runs through April 28, 2011, customers simply install and launch the app on their Android devices, watch the video and register through the pop-up that appears. Customers who currently have the American Airlines app on their Android devices can still enter the sweepstakes by updating the app, and non-Android users may enter the sweepstakes via an alternate online entry form. Additional entries can be made by sharing the sweepstakes with a friend via email.
