SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- The first symposium of its kind, Food for Your Whole Life will bring together internationally recognized researchers, clinicians, educators and health experts who will offer their expertise on age-based nutrition for optimal health and disease prevention. Sunday, June 6, 2010 (Program: 12:00pm-5:00pm): Open to the general public, health professionals and media, America's favorite doctor, Dr. Mehmet Oz, will open the symposium with an entertaining presentation to empower attendees to take charge of their health. Drs. Michael Roizen and David Katz will provide vital information about the role food and lifestyle choices make towards overall health and well being. Brian Wansink, PhD, will present his research on ways to get children to eat healthier. Fun, interactive cooking and exercise demonstrations and select health screenings will also be featured.
Monday, June 7, 2010 (Program: 8:30am-5:150pm): Open to health professionals and media only. Renowned health experts and industry leaders will present the latest information, offer clinical applications and provide their unique insight into the best foods and lifestyle behaviors correlating to various stages of life, from birth to senior years. Attendees will leave understanding age-related links between nutrition, disease and health, better able to advise patients.
A media-only press conference with the presenters will be held Monday, June 7, from 7:00-8:00am at the Grand Hyatt, New York City.
Registered Dietitians (RDs) and Dietetic Technicians, Registered (DTRs) can receive 12 total continuing education hours for this unique two day event. Nurses, Physicians and other Health Professional CPE approval is pending.
