Archie Comics Characters Debut on the Archie ComicLab App

The team at Bite Sized Candy was tasked with creating an application that unlocks the potential of the wildly creative fans of the Archie Comic series. With the Archie ComicLab app, they've created an interactive, fully-functional and easy-to-use application that brings fans into Riverdale and into the world of some of the most popular comic book characters in history. Loaded with never-before-seen artwork, scenes, story options and the best characters available, the Archie ComicLab app gives users the chance to create a rich, dynamic visual narrative that is sure to bring endless enjoyment to Archie fans new and old.

To mark the launch of the app, Bite Sized Candy and Archie Comics are announcing a comic creator contest for all those who are eagerly looking forward to using the Archie ComicLab app. Fans will be asked to create a comic using the application, and one lucky winner will have their work printed into an Archie comic. The submission deadline for the contest is Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 11:59 PM EST. Entries must be emailed to [email protected]. All submissions will be judged by the ultimate experts: the editorial team at Archie Comics. Winners will be notified via email on or around September 28, 2011 and will receive the following prizes:

Grand Prize: The winner will be printed (one page) in a upcoming Archie Comic, and will also receive "3" one year subscriptions to 3 different Archie comic book titles.

First Runner Up: will win "2" one year subscriptions to two different Archie titles.

Second Runner Up: will win a "1" one year subscription to one Archie title. 

The Bite Size Candy team will also be present as part of the Archie Comics booth at this year's San Diego Comic-Con International, to be held July 21-24, 2011 in San Diego, California. The marquee pop culture event of the year, San Diego Comic-Con is the ideal place to launch the app and interact with the core fanbase of Archie and comic books.
