HARVEY, Ill., Oct. 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Atkore International Inc. ("Atkore"), today announced that it has reached an agreement to acquire the assets of Razor Wire International, a manufacturing company specializing in razor wire ranging from 18 inches to 60 inches in diameter. The acquisition will strengthen Atkore's existing barbed tape product portfolio and market presence in the perimeter security market.

As part of the acquisition, Razor Wire International products will transition to the RazorRibbon® product offering available through Atkore.  Additionally, all production will transfer to Atkore's Hebron, OH facility.  Terms of the sale are undisclosed.
