AT&T Launches Ultra-Fast Internet Speeds in the Greater Sacramento Area

ROSEVILLE, Calif. and ROCKLIN, Calif. and LINCOLN, Calif., Aug. 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T¹ today launched ultra-fast internet service in the greater Sacramento area, in parts of Placer County (Roseville, Rocklin, Lincoln, and their surrounding communities).² These communities are in addition to the parts of the Bay Area where we initially launched service in 2015, and expanded in parts of Fresno, Clovis, and other areas of the Central Valley in June. Customers in the area will be able to get speeds up to 1 gigabit per second³ (Gbps) in homes, apartments and small businesses.

AT&T GigaPower offers internet speeds up to 1Gbps for as low as $90 a month.⁵

AT&T GigaPower customers have access to the latest Wi-Fi technology. They can enjoy our best in-home Wi-Fi experience, faster Wi-Fi speeds, expanded coverage and support for all of their devices.

Customers may be able to choose between our award-winning DIRECTV or U-verse TV services. We have single, double and triple play offers to fit each customer's needs.

Our customers subscribing to speeds up to 1Gbps are nearly 30% more likely to stick with AT&T than our customers subscribing to internet services not on the AT&T GigaPower network.

The AT&T GigaPower network is currently available in over 2.2 million locations across 29 of the nation's largest metro areas. We have plans to expand the availability of ultra-fast internet speeds up to 1 gigabit per second in parts of 27 more areas – at least 56 metros in total.

Ultimately, we'll plan to reach more than 14 million residential and commercial locations with fiber.

AT&T has invested more than $7.25 billion in its wireless and wireline networks in California between 2013 through 2015. This drives upgrades to reliability, coverage, speed and performance for residents and business customers.
