BEARPAW™ Partners With Karina Smirnoff And Launches New Boot

According to Randy McKinley, VP Global Marketing of BEARPAW, talks between BEARPAW and Karina Smirnoff started in 2010 after the BEARPAW team took notice of Karina wearing the 'Eva' boot while rehearsing backstage for Dancing with the Stars. McKinley says, "with experience designing all of her own DWTS costumes, Karina was excited to collaborate with us on BEAPRAW's KS Collection by Karina Smirnoff."

Smirnoff adds: When I was approached by BEARPAW about collaborating, it was a no-brainer, because I was already a fan of their boots. I really do have a passion for footwear, especially comfortable shoes, because my feet are always tired after hours of rehearsals!

The first shoe in the collection launched for Fall 2011 and was named the 'Capulet' in dedication to a performance, Smirnoff describes, was her most loved performance of the season. The 'Capulet' was followed by the collection's 'Aleyksa' boot for Winter 2011, which was a limited edition piece and was sold in key independent boutiques and online retailers.

BEARPAW's Mckinley, who is excited to have Karina on board, explains that the partnership has been a great way to further establish BEARPAW's brand name within the entertainment community. As a result, he says, "BEARPAW has continued to gain awareness with a new and existing customer base."
