- authentic and inspirational leadership;
- coaching methodology and techniques;
- mindfulness;

The cost of the program is $18,500, and a $2,500 deposit is required upon registration; payment plans are available. Accommodations and most meals are included in the registration fee. Register online at www.BerkeleyECI.com.
"The Institute offers an opportunity for both deep self reflection and the development of the skills required to become a trusted leader and coach," said Doy Charnsupharindr, CEO of Berkeley ECI. "Our certification focuses on developing coaches who excel at the critical soft skills leaders require today – including empathy, professional intimacy, leadership presence and effective communication skills."
In addition to private 1-on-1 coaching sessions with Berkeley ECI faculty coaches, candidates engage in a coaching practicum with professionals from leading companies in Thailand. Upon successful completion of program requirements, graduates receive a certificate from UC Berkeley.
The certification program is designed for executives and leaders who want to further develop their leadership skills and incorporate coaching into their management practice within an organization, or individuals who wish to begin or expand a career as an executive coach.
The program utilizes the Active Communicating® methodology, an approach to leadership development that is rooted in the model of theater as heightened communication, translating into a quality of presence that is powerful in its ability to communicate consistent values of respect, trust, credibility, and integrity. In addition to the theater arts, the Active Communicating methodology also draws from the disciplines of the martial arts and from cross-cultural anthropology.
