Blackhawk Network Appoints Sachin Dhawan to Senior Vice President, Chief Technology Officer

PLEASANTON, Calif., June 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Blackhawk Network, a leading prepaid and payments network, announced that Sachin Dhawan has been appointed to senior vice president, chief technology officer, effective June 14, 2016. Dhawan will report to Jerry Ulrich, Blackhawk's chief financial officer and chief administrative officer.

In this role, Dhawan will have overall responsibility for Blackhawk's technology roadmap and execution, including development, infrastructure, security, network expansion and desktop services.

Most recently, Dhawan was vice president of engineering for global consumer products at PayPal where he led development of the company's digital wallet and global omnichannel shop products. Prior to that, he held several leadership positions over a 12-year tenure at Microsoft, including leading the development of its online advertising platform, adCenter. His specialties include: online advertising, big data, cloud services, e-commerce and audience intelligence.
