In his new role, Mr. Pao will oversee all aspects of business affairs and legal policy and will be based in San Francisco.

Mr. Pao brings over 14 years of executive management experience within the technology industry. Prior to joining blinkx, he served as president and chief executive officer of intelligent video analytics company, Vidient Systems. During his tenure at Vidient, Mr. Pao was responsible for leading the turnaround of the company and driving substantial revenue growth, which resulted in a sale to Agilence in 2011. Before that, he was president of Verity and chief operating officer, U.S. at Autonomy, where he had full operating responsibility for both organizations, and helped drive and integrate several successful acquisitions. Previously, Mr. Pao was senior vice president, Business Affairs at Virage, a technology leader in internet video search which he helped to take public after raising four rounds of venture capital financing.
