BorgWarner to Supply Transfer Cases for Ram Pickup Trucks

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Jan. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- BorgWarner has been selected by Chrysler Group LLC to supply its patented Torque-On-Demand(®) (TOD(®)) and Part-Time transfer cases on all four-wheel drive Ram trucks. This includes all four-wheel drive RAM 1500 and 2500/3500 pickups. TOD(®) transfer cases will be a premium option for the Ram 1500 and will be the first transfer case model to launch. The company will also supply Electric shift Part-Time transfer cases for the Ram 1500 and Ram 2500/3500. BorgWarner's TOD(®) transfer cases provide traction on all surfaces, vehicle stability and towing performance, while BorgWarner's field-proven Part-Time transfer cases feature electro-mechanical synchronized shifts to ensure optimized timing for full engagement, preventing driver error and system damage.
