(Pink Sheets:  MRVC.PK), today demands that MRV Communications immediately declare and pay a special cash dividend to its stockholders. Since 1993, MRV Communications has reported losses of approximately one billion dollars yet retains significant cash on hand.  Based on the most recent publicly available balance sheet, MRV can easily afford to pay $120 million in cash to stockholders.
