Cicero Beverage Co. Awarded Two 2014 BevStar Awards for Premium Beverages

CHICAGO, Sept. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- One Chicago-based business was recently the recipient of two industry awards for the year from Beverage World Magazine. The Beverage World BevStar Awards are annually granted to national beverage companies to recognize innovation across several major categories. Customers have responded to the news with enthusiasm.

What does it take for a relatively new beverage company to break away from the pack and get noticed?  An interesting question; and one that no business may be better positioned to answer than Chicago, Illinois' Cicero Beverage Company.  Cicero Beverage Co. recently announced that they won two very prestigious 2014 BevStar awards; one was Gold for their Salted Caramel Root Beer soda and the second, a special matchmaker award, for their very popular Bacon Bloody Mary Mix. Cicero Beverage's Salted Caramel Root Beer soda won the Gold Award in BevStar's highly competitive carbonated soft drink category.  The drink offers a combination of classic root beer flavor fueled by high quality ingredients, including all natural sugar rather than high fructose corn syrup, with a modern twist of added caramel and salt for extra bite.

BevStar's Matchmaker Award was won by the company's Bacon Bloody Mary Mix, which was combined with another company's premium vodka product.  The Bacon Bloody Mary Mix is quite uniquely flavored with real bacon and described by many customers as being "offbeat and awesome."
