CNIT Entered Into Strategic Agreement with Sznews.com of Shenzhen Press Group
SHENZHEN, China, May 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- China Information Technology, Inc. (the "Company" or "CNIT") (Nasdaq GS: CNIT), a leading provider of integrated cloud-based platform, exchange, and big data solutions in China, today announced that it has entered into a five-year strategic agreement with Sznews.com Co., Ltd. ("Shenzhen News"), a subsidiary of Shenzhen Press Group Limited, to collaborate on the "Internet + Smart City" project involving industries such as healthcare, education, and transportation. CNIT and Shenzhen News will initially collaborate on the "Healthy City" project.
According to the agreement, Shenzhen News will leverage on the competitive strength of its parent company in media content and resources to operate the new media platform associated with "Healthy Shenzhen" and other cities. Specifically, Shenzhen News will support the "Healthy City" new media platforms with contents including healthcare related news, information, activities, education, as well as allocating paid advertisement based on the Company's cloud-based new media and Taoping Net. In addition, Shenzhen Press will market the new media campaign within its online and offline media network to attract customers and business partners.
CNIT will be responsible for the setup of healthcare platforms in Shenzhen and other cities. Leveraging on cloud-based new media, Taoping Net, and Healthcare One Pass, the Company will build an online healthcare information platform, provide smartphone-based healthcare services, and activate healthcare simulcast on connected digital displays. The Company will install cloud-based new media terminals at hospitals and community clinics in Shenzhen and other high-traffic venues such as airport, hotels, shopping malls, railways stations and residential communities, connecting terminals to create regional advantage and promote Smart City.
