Cold Stone Creamery Hosts 11th Annual World's Largest Ice Cream Social To Benefit Make-A-Wish
Cold Stone celebrates 11 years of helping grant wishes throughout September
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Aug. 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Cold Stone Creamery® and Make-A-Wish® are inviting the country to help make wishes come true by attending the 11th Annual World's Largest Ice Cream Social on Sept. 27, the culmination of a month-long fundraising event. All day long, $1 from the sale of any Love It or Gotta Have It size Ice Cream, Yogurt or Sorbet Creation™ will be donated to Make-A-Wish.
Celebrating the 11th year of working together, Cold Stone Creamery will host a month-long fundraising celebration to benefit Make-A-Wish. Throughout September every Cold Stone® location nationwide will sell paper Make-A-Wish stars for $1 each, leading up to the 11th Annual World's Largest Ice Cream Social on Sept. 27.
Since 2002, Cold Stone Creamery has generated more than $4 million in donations to help enrich the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions. That's enough to grant more than 500 wishes – each one a life-affirming gift that makes wish kids stronger, more optimistic and more willing to overcome the obstacles in their lives.
"We are very proud to say that we have aligned with Make-A-Wish for 11 years to host the World's Largest Ice Cream Social and have produced more than $4 million in donations," said Ray Karam, Cold Stone Creamery Sr. Tastemaster™. "I want to encourage everyone to come and help us make the 11th anniversary the best year yet!"
About Make-A-Wish

With the help of generous donors and more than 25,000 volunteers, Make-A-Wish grants a wish somewhere in the country every 38 minutes.
