Consumers Spending Less on Dining Out this Fall Says Kurt Salmon
Restaurant Insights, October 2010
SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Consumer spending at restaurants failed to pick up this summer, despite relative consumer optimism in the late spring. Kurt Salmon's most recent consumer confidence analysis suggests a continued slide into the fall.
"This could mean a repeat of the 2008 holiday season, when restaurant sales defied a usual uptick during the final months of the year," said Kurt Salmon's Todd Hooper.
