According to a research report published by PwC, the global entertainment and media industry in terms of spending, was $603 billion in 2015. The report forecasted the industry would reach $720 billion by 2020 and indicates that despite difficulties in this diverse industry, such as continued widespread industry disruption and intense competition for consumer attention will present many growth opportunities for companies. By segment, TV and video are expected to rise from $121.4 billion to $124.2 billion in 2020 (0.5 percent CAGR), while music revenue is expected to increase from $15.2 billion to $18.0 billion in 2020 (3.5 percent CAGR), and as for cinema, China is expected to overtake the U.S. in box office revenue in 2017. Everlert, Inc.
