Downtown Grand Las Vegas Announces Casino Enhancements and New Gaming Promotions
LAS VEGAS, Aug. 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Since Downtown Grand introduced its new CEO Jim Simms in June, many improvements and new programs are being introduced at the property. Now, Downtown Grand is proud to announce several new casino enhancements, gaming promotions and events launching this Fall.
First, the Downtown Grand has repositioned the casino floor, with table games relocated to a more intimate setting and new electronic table games and slot machines are being added to the main floor. Patrons will also notice casino employees in new uniforms that are consistent with the look and feel of the property. Additionally, Downtown Grand has added exterior signage on 3rd Street and is continuing to make additional lighting and window enhancements throughout the property.
On August 18th, Downtown Grand introduced the Counts Kustoms Blackjack promotion, where players have the chance to win a custom motorcycle designed by the famed chopper fabrication team. Players who are dealt a natural Blackjack are allowed to spin the wheel with a chance to win table game chips, including the grand prize, which is the motorcycle on display. A player who wins the grand prize has the option to take the motorcycle or a cash payout of $18,000.
On September 1st, the property is launching the DOWNTOWN GRAND REWARDS Players Card Program with new tiered card benefits. Players will earn 1 point for every dollar of coin-in played on slots, and 1 point for every $2 of coin-in played on video poker. For every 250 points redeemed, players will receive $1 of free play.
In September, the Downtown Grand Sports Book, managed by William Hill, will add new television screens to the indoor area and extend the fun outdoors just in time for football season. Guests can enjoy tailgate food and drink specials on the sports book patio on Saturdays and Sundays starting September 13th.
This October, the casino offers players the chance to win big during the 250 GRAND SLOT TOURNAMENT. Guests will have multiple chances to qualify for this mega tournament, such as earning 2,500 points in one calendar month, winning the daily slot point challenge, winning a slot or video poker jackpot of $1,200 and above or the free weekly lucky name drawing. There will be bi-weekly tournament session prizes and prizes for the top 10 tournament finalists, including the grand prize of $250,000.00 in cash and free play.
