Dr. Karin L. Ciance, DNP, RN Has Been Recognized by Strathmore's Who's Who as Professional of the Year 2015, Honored With Special Times Square Appearance

FARMINGDALE, N.Y., Aug. 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Karin L. Ciance of Holden, Massachusetts, has been recognized as Strathmore's Who's Who Professional of the Year 2015 for her outstanding contributions and achievements in the field of Community Health Nursing. She is being honored with a Times Square, New York appearance on Friday, August 28, 2015.

Dr. Ciance is an Assistant Professor at Anna Maria College, a private co-educational institution that was founded by the Sisters of St. Anne in 1946.  Dr. Ciance earned her R.N. from Worcester City Hospital of Nursing, her B.S.N. and M.S. from Worcester State College. Her D.N.P. was earned at Walden University.  Dr. Ciance has more than 31 years of experience in nursing. Her areas of expertise include medical-surgical, community, rehabilitation, urgent care, women's health and management. She has served as Adjunct Faculty and Faculty mentor for a number of different local colleges and universities. They include Worcester State University, Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and Atlantic Union College. She is also the Executive Director for Greenwood Street Medical Clinic in Worcester.  In her full time capacity as a faculty member at Anna Maria College, she teaches in the traditional BSN and online RN to BSN nursing programs.  Dr. Ciance was inducted into the Golden Key International Honor Society from Walden University in 2014. Her affiliations include the American Nurses Association, the National League for Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau and is the elected Vice President of IOTA Phi Chapter at large. Her current interests lie in fall prevention,  and community health, but in her leisure time, she enjoys camping, hiking and sewing.
