The East Bay Stand Down is a community based event, sponsored by the US Department of Veterans Affairs (USDVA) and the US Army Reserve, Medical Command (USARMEDCOM), along with grants and donations from corporate sponsors, and local, civic, Veteran Service Organizations (VSO's), non-profit organizations, and private individuals. Nearly 2,000 military and civilian volunteers are needed to staff this event.
The program serves those Veterans who have served our country, and are now in need of basic human services. Health, medical and dental care, legal services, housing and employment options, rehabilitation programs, and access to the various benefits, earned through their military service, will be available for the participants. These services will be provided in a safe and secured environment, while at EBSD.

No "walk-in" participants, without prior registration, will be accepted or admitted once EBSD begins. For more information on how and where to register for participation, go to the EBSD web site at: www.eastbaystanddown.org
Anyone wishing to serve as a volunteer at EBSD must also register for a volunteer assignment prior to the event. No "walk-in" volunteers will be accepted or admitted, without prior registration, once the EBSD begins. Volunteer Registration closes on 9-1-14.
