In its 32nd year, this award ceremony is designed to acknowledge and pay tribute to outstanding minority businesses, leaders and advocates in the Washington, DC Metro area. The awards ceremony took place at the Gaylord National Resort in National Harbor, MD on Friday, October 11, 2013.
A panel of distinguished judges chose Edwards & Hill Office Furniture from 6 other nominees in the $1 - $10 million annual revenue category. Selection was based on a company demonstrating outstanding achievement in several areas including: entrepreneurship, client satisfaction, job creation, revenue growth and community contributions. Edwards & Hill Office Furniture, based in Annapolis Junction, MD, is a 15 year old commercial furniture dealership that provides office furniture supply & installation, moving, warehousing, project management and interior design services for government, education, healthcare and commercial customers across the US including but not limited to DOD, USDA, DOT, Department of State, Aloft Hotels, Hampton Inn, Comcast, University of MD Medical System, Catholic University and American University. In 2012, the company won the contract to supply all of the back of house furniture for the new Maryland Live! Casino in Hanover, MD. Edwards & Hill's largest project to date was managing the delivery, warehousing and installation of all of the guestroom furniture in the 2000 room Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center at the National Harbor.
