Electronic Data Payment Systems specializes in providing electronic payment processing services to small and medium sized businesses, retailers, wholesalers, mail/phone order companies, not-for-profit organizations, medical practices and software providers throughout the United States. Their services include credit card and debit card processing, check conversion and guarantee, business cash advance services and internet payment gateway solutions.
"Our family is grateful for our customers, our staff and the people, organizations and communities that have helped Electronic Data Payment Systems achieve this success," William Treciak, EDPS President and CEO, stated. "Without the support of the Tuscarawas Valley Business Factory, cities of Dover and New Philadelphia, the Tuscarawas County Commissioners, Tuscarawas County Chamber of Commerce and the Tuscarawas County Port Authority, we would not be celebrating this achievement."
The 2010 Inc. 500|5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth between the years of 2006-2009. EDPS achieved a revenue growth rate of 228% during the three year period, landing it at number 1,296 on the Inc. 500|5000's list and number 69 in the financial services industry.
"The leaders of the companies on this year's Inc. 5000 have figured out how to grow their businesses during the longest recession since the Great Depression," said Inc. president Bob LaPointe. "The 2010 Inc. 5000 showcases a particularly hardy group of entrepreneurs."
EDPS was founded in 2003 in the attic of William Treciak's home with his wife, Laural, and his sister, Terri Mayle. In February 2004, EDPS was the first company who moved into the Tuscarawas Valley Business Factory and the first to graduate in 2009. In September 2009, EDPS moved to their new location in New Philadelphia, Ohio after renovating a local building in their community.
"When asked what the future holds for Electronic Data Payment Systems, the answer is simple: growth," Treciak said. "We plan to create more jobs for our community and more opportunity for our employees."
