Enduris Files Misappropriation of Trade Secrets Lawsuit
JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Jan. 24, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Enduris Extrusions, Inc. filed a lawsuit in Federal District Court in Jacksonville, Florida alleging the misappropriation of its trade secrets by Inteplast Group Limited. The Complaint alleges that Inteplast obtained Enduris's trade secret processes for making Enduris's capped cellular PVC deck board and that it is using those trade secrets to manufacture cellular PVC deckboard for CEVN Corp., a New Jersey company, as well as for sale under Inteplast's own brands. The Complaint seeks an injunction under the Florida Trade Secrets Statute and the Florida Unfair Business Practices Act.
"Enduris has developed an innovative and proprietary process to manufacture a superior, capped cellular PVC deck board," stated Enduris CEO John Polidan. "Enduris's intellectual property is very valuable and it is our policy to take all steps necessary to protect these assets."
Enduris's deck board is marketed under the brand name Endeck®. Enduris, headquartered in Jacksonville, FL, has been manufacturing the highest quality code approved cellular PVC decking, code approved vinyl railing, lineals for vinyl fencing, vinyl gates and all associated accessories since 1998.
