ENF Announces Class of 2010 Scholarships Winners
CHICAGO, April 3 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- No fooling! The Elks National Foundation awarded today a total of nearly $3.3 million in college scholarships to 750 high school seniors.
The Elks National Foundation knows that education lays the groundwork for strong communities and strengthens today's youth in becoming tomorrow's leaders. Therefore, the ENF continues to provide more than $3.6 million in college scholarships each year.
The Foundation awarded 500 Most Valuable Student scholarships, ranging from $4,000 to $60,000 and 250 Legacy Awards of $4,000. The complete list of winners is available online at www.elks.org/enf/scholars.
The MVS Scholarship Competition invites graduating high school seniors wishing to pursue four-year degrees on a full-time basis to apply through their local Lodge. Though male and female students compete separately, both are judged in the same areas of scholarship, leadership, and financial need.
Legacy Awards are available to the children and grandchildren of active Elk members in good standing. Applicants must exhibit the core values of the Elks National Foundation: Knowledge, Charity, Community and Integrity.
Applications for the 2011 Most Valuable Student scholarship and Legacy Awards contests will be available September 1, 2010.
