Eric Church To Headline The 2010 Jagermeister Country Music Tour Number One Selling Imported Liqueur in America Announces Second Country Music Series
NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y., Jan. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Jagermeister, the brand known for decades of involvement with rock and metal bands, continues to expand its music presence with the 2010 Jagermeister Country Tour featuring Nashville singer-songwriter Eric Church with special guest and opening act Josh Thompson. The tour, which is Jagermeister's second in the Country Music genre, kicks off February 9th and visits 32 venues across the nation in celebration of Church's critically acclaimed sophomore release Carolina.
Jagermeister has been supporting musicians through local sponsorships and national music tours since 1994 and continues to evolve with the core consumer's lifestyle and interests. "The brand had tremendous success in 2009 with the introduction of the Jagermeister Country Tour headlined by Pat Green," says Bill Henderson, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Advertising for Sidney Frank Importing Company, Inc. "We are extremely excited to have Eric Church and Josh Thompson on the road with us in 2010 and look forward to a great tour."
"Our shows have been one big party for a while now," says Eric Church. "This tour is going to be unlike anything our fans have seen. We are bringing the level up a notch and I know the fans will do the same. I'm proud to have Jagermeister as a partner for this tour. Not only are they known for bringing the party, but seeing as it tends to get hot at our shows, I want to thank them for keeping the shots ice cold."
Eric Church's widely praised album Carolina debuted at #17 on Billboard's Top 200 and #4 on the country charts. The album's top single "Love Your Love the Most," reached the Top 10 on the Billboard and Mediabase country radio charts, and "Hell on the Heart," is currently in the Top 30 and climbing on both charts. Rolling Stone praised the album's "surging guitars bolstering good-ol'-boy narratives," and The New York Times declared, "His music puts rock muscle behind honky-tonk and turns ballads into intimate close-ups." Church's raucous live shows have earned him a dedicated fan base, which he lovingly dubbed "the Church Choir" and, despite breaking his foot during a recent performance, Church has continued to play to enthusiastic audiences across the country. Carolina follows the breakthrough success of Church's critically acclaimed first effort "Sinners Like Me", which claimed three Top 20 singles and a #1 video.
Josh Thompson, known as the working-class country singer, released his debut single "Beer on the Table" in 2009, which is currently in the Top 30 and climbing on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Thompson's debut album, "Way Out Here," is slated for a February 23, 2010 release.
Jagermeister will be hosting text-to-win tap machine and POS giveaways. In addition, Schecter Guitars will be giving away a signed Eric Church guitar and Peavey Electronics will supply a signed Eric Church practice amplifier at the Jagermeister Country Tour. Giveaways and raffle prizes are subject to state and local laws and participants must be of legal drinking age or older.
