Expedia.com Reports Flight Prices to Most Popular Spring Break Travel Destinations Down From 2014
Expedia Introduces New Spring Promotions, Offering Hotels Deals Up to 65% off in Major U.S. Cities, Caribbean, Mexico and Europe
BELLEVUE, Wash., Feb. 24, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- It's finally time to pack away the puffy coats and embrace Spring Break season, typically falling between the beginning of March and mid-April. Expedia.com® booking data indicates that average air ticket prices during this period to certain top destinations are down from 2014. To help travelers get the most out of their Spring Break travel, Expedia will launch three major promotions featuring getaway deals for every type of traveler – from families, to college students, to empty nesters.
Expedia's first-ever Spring Break promotion, running now through March 15 (travel by April 30), offers hotel deals up to 50% off in Spring Break destinations across the U.S., Mexico, the Caribbean and on select cruises. Expedia's spring promotion starts March 3 and runs through April 6 (travel by May 21), and offers savings on hotels up to 40% in Orlando, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Cancun and on select cruises.
For travelers craving a gelato in Venice or a pint in London, 2015 is shaping up to be a fantastic year for Americans to travel to Europe. A combination of the stronger U.S. dollar and an all new Europe promotion from Expedia offering hotel deals up to 40% when booked before April 13 (travel by September 30).
Average ticket prices to popular Spring Break destinations in Mexico are also down this spring, including to Cabo (-10% in March), Puerto Vallarta (-7% in March), Acapulco (-18% in March).
