Marquee Customer Wins: Key wins included University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill), University of California (Hastings College of the Law) and the Canadian Diabetes Association. The most significant account growth was in higher education - 4 of the top 10 business schools in America ranked by the Princeton Review™ for their faculty are now ExpertFile customers.
Strong Growth in Channel Sales: The company signed partnerships with leading digital web design and content marketing agencies, which contributed to key customer wins.
Customer Engagement: Online inquiries for experts grew significantly across 8 different categories tracked by ExpertFile analytics. ExpertFile clients received inquiries for expert sources from top media outlets including Bloomberg, Fast Company, Globe & Mail, VICE, ABC News, CBS, CBC and Al Jazeera.
Investment: The company completed its first VC funding round with the Investment Accelerator Fund (IAF) and appointed Randall Howard, of VERDEXUS Ventures, as its Board Chair. Mr. Howard was Co-Founder and CEO of Waterloo-based MKS Software (Acquired by PTC in Boston).
