LAS VEGAS, Jan. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- CES -- Fandango, the nation's leading moviegoer destination, announced today that its app is now available for the Android(TM) platform. The Fandango Movies, Times & Tickets app enables fans to find movies and showtimes, watch trailers, locate theaters, view fan ratings and buy ticket in a flash.

Movie fans can find movies playing nearby by using Android's GPS feature and connecting to Google Maps(TM) for driving directions, or can browse films under the "Opening This Week", "Top Box Office" and "Coming Soon" features.

Moviegoers can also add theaters to a "Favorites" list for faster searching and purchase tickets for more than 16,000 movie screens (more available screens than on any other app). For enhanced convenience, fans can sign into their Fandango account to purchase tickets with their credit card stored online -- or securely store their credit card to the device for super-fast purchasing.

As a special limited time offer, moviegoers who download or upgrade the Fandango Android(TM) app now through Oscar night, March 7, 2010, can purchase tickets with no service fee. The Fandango app is available for free from Android Market(TM) at http://www.android.com/market .
