LOS ANGELES, March 20, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- High-profile industry executive, Jonathan Hay, and business expert, Michael A Smith, have created, conceptualized and produced a new group called Pink Grenade, that will be releasing its debut album "Fear Of A Pink Planet" in June 2014. Smith and Hay are the founders of SMH Records, a budding record label that has distribution through Caroline, a division of Capitol Music Group/Universal Music Group.

"I'm so happy I reached out to Jim Urie [President/CEO of Universal Music Distribution] who helped make this deal with Caroline happen for us. We love working with their team filled with so many creative people from EMI, Capitol, Universal, etc. It's a great fit." - Jonathan Hay (Producer, Co-Founder SMH Records)
In order to achieve sound quality at the highest level possible, Jonathan Hay and Michael A Smith assembled a Grammy award-winning, all-star team. The production duo secured veterans such as Sylvia Massy (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Johnny Cash), John Frye (Outkast, T.I.) , Richard Segal Huredia (Eminem, Dr Dre), Ken Lewis (Jay-Z, Kanye West), Jerry Hey (Michael Jackson, Katy Perry), John "JR" Robinson (Daft Punk, Quincy Jones) and Chris Gehringer (Rihanna, Lady Gaga). Smith and Hay also brought on Dove award-winner, Justin "Sky" Boller (Lecare, B.Howard) to help produce some material on the upcoming "Fear Of A Pink Planet". It has been confirmed that a surprise iconic celebrity will be making a few guest appearances on the album as well.
One of the members of the group is heiress Ambimbola Fernandez, daughter of Billionaire Nigerian gemstone tycoon Antonio Deinde Fernandez, who is referred to simply as "Bim". Other group members include: Teddy, Jonny, Mekai, Ivy-Rose, Renzo, Danny, Bjorn and Pinky.
"Having nine group members is influenced by the Wu-Tang Clan, but it has more elements and layers of Pop and Rock music. All the members, with the exception of Bim, are initially staying anonymous with customes and masks, because it's about the team first, not the individual. We are excited to roll out Pink Grenade." – Michael A Smith (Producer, Co-Founder SMH Records)
Jonathan Hay and Michael A Smith are the visionaries leading the way, along with the rest of the SMH Records team including Erika Smith, Sabrina Hale, Billy Rassel, West PR, Crowd Surf, Michael Bentley, Juan McCloud and more. Besides developing the group and the artists within, the team is also working on a reality show called "Gold Blooded", slated to air on a major television network this year.
SMH Records is based out of Charlotte, North Carolina and recently made a stir within the entertainment industry when news was released that they had raised $30 million in capital. Additionally, international news outlets reported that SMH Records was offering to sign Lindsay Lohan to a record deal. Jonathan Hay responded to those reports by saying, "As far as music goes, our only focus is on Pink Grenade right now."
