FirstEnergy Names Brett W. Reynolds Vice President, FE Products

Will Lead Newly Formed Group Offering Innovative Consumer Products

AKRON, Ohio, July 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- FirstEnergy Corp. (NYSE: FE) today named Brett W. Reynolds as vice president, FE Products, effective August 1, 2015.

Reynolds will oversee the newly formed FirstEnergy Products group and will report to Dennis M. Chack, senior vice president, Marketing and Branding. Reynolds will be responsible for planning, developing, and strategically implementing new value-added product and service offerings across a variety of customer segments and markets. He also will work to enhance the company's existing consumer product offerings, such as professional tree-trimming, landscape lighting and household electrical services.

"Brett brings to this position a wide network of business relationships and a proven track record of success in marketing and business development," said Chack. "His results-oriented leadership and experience will help FirstEnergy launch new and innovative products to better serve our customers."

Prior to joining FirstEnergy, Reynolds spent more than 20 years in marketing and sales positions with the National Football League. In his most recent role as senior director, Corporate Sales, for the Cleveland Browns, Reynolds was responsible for acquiring new business partners, managing national accounts, and retaining and growing key corporate relationships. He consistently increased corporate sponsorships and achieved record sales for the Browns organization. Reynolds also held advertising and marketing positions with the Buffalo Bills, and began his career working for State Industrial Products & Manufacturing, Co. in Cleveland and AMETEK Inc. in Kent.

Reynolds holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from the University of Akron and is a recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award. He currently serves on the Northeast Ohio Marketing Leadership Roundtable and volunteers at several local community organizations.

Reynolds resides with his family in Medina.
